The Australian Redgum Smoked Single Malt is the result of the partnership of all grain brewer Wayne Beadle and distiller Mark Jordan. After 18 months of experimental efforts, we decided on the use of a malt that is smoked using redgum instead of peat. After brewing the mash is double distilled using two different solid copper, old style stills and then aged in 20lt French oak barrels that had been used for Oloroso Sherry and then Tasmanian Whiskey.
Bottled at 50% ABV, the result is a single malt that is rich Smokey and complex, this first batch of only 63 bottles is dated and individually numbered.
